How to Become a Mass Youth ODP Coach

 ODP COACHING STAFF QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:
All Mass Youth ODP Staff Coaches are appointed by the Mass Youth Soccer Technical Director and the ODP Director and such appointments are subject to the approval of the Mass Youth Board of Directors. All ODP hiring is done in July for the up coming year that starts in August with tryouts. If you wish to apply for a position as a coach in the Mass ODP, you must review the ODP calendar from previous years to fully understand the commitment you would be asked to make to the program. To be considered for a position as a Mass Youth ODP Staff Coach a candidate must:

Head Coach
1. Must first abide by and uphold the "Mass Youth Code of Ethics" and have a demonstrated history of such a standard of behavior.
2. Must hold at minimum a USSF "B" License or an equivalent license and be actively working to attain USSF certification.
    (i.e. an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and/or a recognized FIFA equivalent)
3. Must have soccer playing experience at a high level (at least collegiate and/or semi-professional recommended);
4. Must have coaching experience at a high level (Club, College, or Professional)
5. Must come well recommended.

Assistant Coach
1. Must first abide by and uphold the "Mass Youth Code of Ethics" and have a demonstrated history of such a standard of behavior.
2. Must hold at minimum a USSF "C" License or an equivalent license and be actively working to attain USSF certification.
    (i.e. an NSCAA National Diploma and/or a recognized FIFA equivalent)
3. Must have soccer playing experience at a high level (at least collegiate and/or semi-professional recommended);
4. Must have coaching experience at a high level (Club, College, or Professional)
5. Must come well recommended.
