MASS YOUTH SOCCER
PLAYER RELEASE TO PLAY OUT OF STATE

If a player wishes to play on a team that is not based in the state in which he or she is a legal resident, the player MUST obtain a Release to Play Out of State. The Release must be obtained each year. The purpose of the form is to make certain the player is properly registered and insured while participating in soccer activities outside of his or her home state.

If the player is a Massachusetts resident, the first step is making sure that player is registered.  If the player has played on a Massachusetts-based soccer team since the start of the soccer season (September 1st), chances are that player is registered.  If you are at all unsure, feel free to send an email to kmurphy@Mayouthsoccer.org or call 978-466-8812 x221 and ask about a player's registration status. In making any inquiries about a player's registration status, you must include the player's full name and date of birth to assist us in looking up the player's information.

If the player is not registered, you may register him or her on line with the Individual Registration Form.

When the player is registered, the player's parent must fill out the top two sections of the Release to Play Out of State form. Please include in which state the player will be playing.. Once completed, please send the form in to the Mass Youth Soccer Office at the address or email address below. We will then release the player and send that form on to the Accepting National State Association.

If the player is NOT a Massachusetts resident, he or she will need to acquire permission to play in Massachusetts from his or her home state association.
